Our Story

Jasen Richardson began the ice cream adventure in 2011 alongside his dad, Jerry Richardson, owner of Maple View Mobile and Circle City Ice Cream of Pittsboro, NC. When they came across the 1979 Pepsi Cola beverage trailer, Jasen knew he wanted to repurpose the trailer to have a vintage look that would sell delicious farm fresh ice cream. Vintage Scoops has been a great addition to the Maple View Mobile family.

Jasen and Emily’s story started at a local community event, where a simple meeting sparked a deep friendship. As they spent more time together, their bond grew, and in 2020, they tied the knot. By then, Jasen had already been running his ice cream business, bringing farm-fresh, delicious flavors to local events. When it came time to plan their own wedding, they knew the ice cream trailer had to be part of the celebration—what better way to add sweetness to their special day? From there, they knew they had to share the joy they felt with others, so they began catering weddings, offering guests a chance to enjoy the same fresh, creamy treat they had at their own wedding. Now, Jasen and Emily are excited to bring that same personal touch and love of ice cream to weddings and events everywhere!
